Northeast Speed Shop was opened in 2008 with a mission to provide reliable and reasonable automotive repair and performance work to Upstate NY. We are proud to adapt to the ever evolving technology of modern day cars while remembering the traditional roots of hot-rodding. Our customers best interest is always our number one priority.
Meet the Founder
Jim Jennings opened Northeast Speed Shop in 2008 after over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. He has a passion for speed and has been referred to as a "local legend" when it comes to GM vehicles and hot rods.
His love of cars began at a young age when he would fix his family member's cars. From there, he began fixing neighbors and friends cars in his dad's barn. As his client list grew he worked out of his house garage until finally opening his official location on Route 30 in Amsterdam.
Jim has never really done marketing for Northeast Speed Shop because his work speaks for itself and he is always getting referrals. He always prioritizes his client's safety and their wallet. He offers exceptional service at an unbeatable price.
In the past few years he has had his youngest daughter, Mallory, join the Northeast Speed Shop team. She handles the paperwork, ordering and customer side of the business so that Jim can focus on what he does best.
